Most association software still feels like it was last updated in 2008 — generic email blasts, websites that look nothing like the association, interfaces designed for desktops no club secretary uses any more. We thought our local associations deserved tools that actually wore their colours. So we built one.
Who we are
My Member Buddy is built and owned by Orana Software Inc., a Wyoming-incorporated software company. The product was shipped by our American and Australian engineering teams — a deliberate pairing that lets us cover US business hours with US-based staff while keeping engineering capacity running around the clock. Our sister product, Orana Stay, runs on the same playbook and powers hospitality operators around the world.
Our focus is the United States association-of-commerce market — that's where the most associations are, that's where the pricing model is calibrated (USD per active member with a $39 minimum), and that's the audience the product is purpose-built for. We accept paying customers in Canada, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, and the Eurozone too, but the product roadmap is driven by what US associations tell us they need. You'll rarely talk to a support agent — you'll usually talk to the person who built the thing you're asking about.
What we believe
- Associations deserve their own brand. Every email goes from your domain. Your public site is on your URL. The whole platform wears your colours — not ours.
- Members are not transactions. We don't take a transaction skim when your members pay you. Your association keeps 100% of every member payment that flows through the platform; Stripe's processing fee is the only fee, and it passes through unchanged.
- Pricing should fit on a napkin. $1.50 USD per active member per month. $39 minimum. Local currency in USD, AUD, CAD, GBP, and EUR. No tiers to outgrow, no per-feature paywalls, no surprise charges when you hit some arbitrary plan ceiling.
- Your data is yours. Export anytime. Take it with you if you leave. We process it on your behalf to deliver the service — we don't sell it, mine it, or share it with advertisers.
- Support is real humans. No chatbot wall, no tier-1 / tier-2 / tier-3 escalation runaround. Email us and a person who can actually help will reply.
