What counts as an "active member"?
A member business marked Active in your association's admin app. Lapsed, cancelled, or pending-approval members don't count toward your bill.
Counts sync nightly. If you import 50 lapsed members during a clean-up, your bill won't jump — only the ones flagged Active do. Bringing a lapsed member back rolls them into the next billing cycle.
Do you charge per staff user or admin?
No. Invite as many committee members, board members, and admins as you want — there's no per-seat fee for people who run the association. The only thing that affects your bill is the number of member businesses you're tracking.
Is there a free trial? Do I need a credit card?
30 days free, no card required to start. Sign up, import your members, brand your site, send a campaign — see if it fits before you commit. We'll prompt you for billing details before the trial ends.
What if my member count changes during the month?
We sync your active-member count to Stripe once a day. Adding 5 members today means your next invoice reflects 5 more members; removing them means the opposite. Stripe handles the proration — no surprise mid-month charges, no manual reconciliation.
Can I save with annual billing?
Yes — pay 10 months upfront, get 12. Two months free, every year you stay annual. Switch in either direction from Settings → Billing whenever you like; Stripe prorates the difference automatically.
Do you take a cut of payments my members make?
No, and we never will. Member dues, event tickets, sponsorships — 100% of what your members pay lands in your bank account. Stripe's standard processing fee applies (it's their published rate; we don't mark it up or skim on top).
This is a deliberate choice. Some platforms take 2–5% of every member transaction on top of their SaaS fee. We don't, because that's your money.
How does Stripe Tax work? Will my members see VAT or GST?
Stripe Tax calculates and adds the right tax (US sales tax, AU/NZ GST, UK/EU VAT, etc.) to your subscription invoice based on your association's registered address. Stripe also handles registration and filing in jurisdictions where we're required to.
For payments your members make to your association, you're the merchant of record — your existing tax treatment applies. We surface the tools, you decide whether to charge.
Can I cancel any time?
Month-to-month, no lock-in. Cancel from Settings → Billing and you'll keep access until the end of your current period (the month you've already paid for). Your data exports as CSV any time, even after cancellation — it's your association, not ours.
